Replacing packaging that’s no longer serviceable.

The materials used to package documents can also be impacted by water, fire or mould, and they must be replaced, re-labelled and reassembled. We call this repackaging.
In the process of repackaging, we replace no longer serviceable materials with the same kind of material or with a product of equal or better quality. The use of robust, age-resistant and acid-free cardboard contributes to better conservation quality and longer archiving, and it also helps limit future damage. In principle, we use products that comply with the recommended quality standard DIN ISO 9706 / ISO 16245 when we replace contaminated cardboard packaging. We’d be delighted to advise you on the choice of new packaging material.
